Get to know Anna Humston, from the studio of Nick Meyer!
Q: What is your favorite piece to play?
A: My favorite piece to play changes as I learn new songs. Currently, my favorite piece to play is "Andantino" by Shinichi Suzuki.
Q: What has music taught you?
A: Learning how to play cello has taught me that it's okay to learn a new instrument as an adult student. Learning a new skill is a process and can be frustrating at times and it's worth it to keep learning.
Q: Who is your favorite artist?
A: I have so many artists that I love, it's hard to pick one. Both of my girls are Swifties and Taylor Swift has become one of my favorites.
Q: How has music been a part of your life since you were young?
A: I have always enjoyed listening to music. Music soothes my soul. Worship music draws me closer to God. I also love to dance to music :) I played piano for several years when I was growing up. My daughters started playing musical instruments a few years ago. Watching them practice and going to their concerts inspired me to try a new instrument. I love the sound of the cello and have been playing for two years.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
A: Thanks to my cello teacher, Nick, for being kind and patient as I slowly learn how to play the cello.
