As musicians, we often practice with the goal to perform or share our music with others. Sharing our music with performance can showcase our efforts and expression, and may also generate positive, memorable music experiences with our audience. If you are nervous or tentative about performing, it may help to reframe your performance as an opportunity to showcase “that which you find beautiful, that which you find life-giving" as told by pianist, Menahem Pressler. According to Pressler, "if you can share that love [of music], you will reward others and you are rewarded."
