Get to know Mobile Music Lessons student Freddy, from the piano studio of Arkay Brown.
Q: What is your favorite piece to play?
A: My favorite piece to play is called Pirates at Sea. I like doing the repeats in the song! Argh matey!
Q: What has music taught you?
A: I’ve learned a few things. I learned how to count beats and read music. Not very many students in my class at school play the piano, so it is a fun activity for me to do outside of school.
Q: Who is your favorite artist?
A: I like the song Wake Me Up by Avicii.
Q: How has music been a part of your life since you were young?
A: Singing has always been a part of my life since I was a little baby. I would sing Blackbird by The Beatles with my mom every night before I would go to bed. I like to sing a lot! I’ve also played the piano since I was in first grade.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
A: I’ve really enjoyed Arkay as a teacher. She is a fun teacher and she helps me with counting and the beats. She lets me use her music pieces for recitals and I like the songs because they are different than the ones in my piano books.
